Standard terms and conditions Air Charter

  1. Quotes are valid for a period of 14 days. Quotations issued further in advance are indicative only and are subject to revision.
  2. Actual amounts will be billed and any surplus will be debited to your account.
  3. Quote is subject to industry and market related increases including exchange rate fluctuations.
  4. Quote is strictly subject to aircraft and crew availability.
  5. Quotes that are accepted (which includes acceptance of these terms and conditions) must be signed and faxed back to the sender.  No quotations will be confirmed, unless confirmation thereof is received in writing.  Confirmation is subject to Aircraft and Crew availability at time of reception.
  6. Quote is subject to all relevant over flight and landing permits being obtained prior to departure.
  7. Federal Air (Pty) Ltd does not accept any responsibility for consequential damages that may be suffered by the client due to breakdown, diversion or other factors beyond our control. We will make every effort possible to minimize such costs being incurred.
  8. Dangerous Goods must be declared. If goods are incorrectly packaged and/or do not have the correct documentation, carriage will be refused.
  9. As a safety requirement, all flights are conducted according to the Flight and Duty Restrictions as approved in the Operations Manual. Changes to the itinerary which adversely affect these periods will be refused.
  10. Insurance restrictions may apply to certain countries and/or routes.
  11. Runway conditions at the time of the flight may vary. The pilot’s decision to fly will be final in this regard. 
  12. Smoking is not permitted aboard any of our flights.
  13. Luggage must be restricted to a maximum of 15kg’s per person, in small, soft bags.   Hard- sided and bulky luggage is unsuitable as the baggage space on board the aircraft is usually extremely limited. 
  14. Pilot/crew on Duty Time Regulations on Day Trips: Pilots/Crew must have access to a quiet comfortable place not open to the public, if waiting period is up to 4 hours.  Pilots/Crew must have access to single day rooms if waiting period exceeds 4 hours.
  15. ALL CHARTERS ARE NOT CONFIRMED UNTIL PAYMENT RECEIVED IN FULL.
  16. Charters are subject to the required fuel being available at destination.
    Payment Terms

Normal Charters (3 or less aircraft)

  • 25% deposit required upon confirmation of flight
  • Outstanding amount due 14 (fourteen days) prior to departure.

Group Charters (4 or more aircraft)

  • 25 % deposit required upon confirmation of flight.
  • Outstanding amount due 30 (thirty) days prior to departure

Cancellation Fees:

  • Prior to 48 hours - Deposit
  • Within 24 - 48 hours - 50%
  • Within 24 hours - 100%

Payment can be made by following methods:

  • Bank Guaranteed Cheque
  • Direct Bank Transfer
  • Direct Bank Deposit
  • Credit Card (Fee may be applicable)
